Empowering widows to be self supporting. This is a six month course and each lady receives a sewing machine at the graduation. Sewing machines cost aprox 100USD there is a great need for people to help these women many of them left with tiny children.
Usually 8-10 widows graduate each year.
These families are left in desperate situations when the family father dies. Many men die from alcohol poisoning, while working at sea, snake bite or accident. The family of the dead man has nothing more to do with their son’s family, and the widow and children are destitute.

Computer Initiative for slum children. Empowerment of children
How blessed we were to be able to empower the children with fifteen new hardrives replacing the worn out second hand laptops failing for overuse. Fifteen more are needed for classes of thirty children being taught English and computer skills.
Slum children never have access to computers and get the worst teachers in the slum schools. We are empowering the children to become teachers, pilots, nurses, doctors. We are empowering them to desire and acquire education and no longer end up working in the gravel pits, finishing schooling at 12 years and working on the boats, trafficked, in prostitution or domestic service.
Would you like to assist us to do more? Fifteen more computers are needed for these classes. A computer and surge protection costs 250USD If you would like to sow to assist the children contact us today.
Pastor Madhu in charge of this initiative gets no payment for what he does. If you would like to assist him to feed his children and support his family you can help by sowing today. Any gift would be most welcome.
Before each class the children are given a meal of rice and daal as if we do brain work we need brain food. These meals cost 50cents per child and for forty children five days a week
The cost is 100NZ dollars a week to feed the forty children.
Any gift would bless them and help them,
Denise Reid!
